April Means…Earth Month!

Happy April, lovely readers! As you may know, today is the start of Earth Month. It’s time to refresh our bodies and refocus our minds on what’s important in this world: sustainable, safe livelihoods for all.

Call it seasonal depression, hibernation, or even just laziness. In the winter we fall victim to the cold, leaving us feeling ill, cooped up, irritated, and even selfish. When we’re outside we’re rushing from location to location to escape the bitter weather, giving little regard to our surroundings. When we’re inside, media overload and myriad current events leave us feeling down and helpless.

Now is the time for change, starting from the inside out! As the weather warms up you’ll find yourself drawn to the fresh air and soon looking for any excuse to spend time outside. Let the resurfacing of the green serve as inspiration to help maintain a healthy environment.

Whether your commitment to Earth Month is as big as taking on Monsanto and the recent presidential support its received, or starting a garden in your backyard, we’re here to give you some tips and goals to gear you up for your eco-friendly makeover. We’ll highlight some Earth Month all-stars, give you the inside scoop on the newest eco-brands, and share worldwide coverage of Earth Day 2014 (April 22, mark your calendars)!
