Last night was the most beautiful the Empire State Building could have ever looked. Lit up from top to bottom with projections of 160 endangered species and a Kong Kong-like gorilla climbing the building, it was hard for anyone in the area not to be captivated by such a meaningful message. True Luxury Life’s own visionary, Oscar winning director and founder of the Oceanic Preservation Society, Louie Psihoyos helped to create an event that caught the attention of so many people in New York City and many more online through the live online stream. Louie’s mission was to raise awareness of the 160 species’ photos projected throughout the night and touch the audience emotionally with the hope that even a few people enough to started an action- oriented conversation about how we can make an impact to win the race to extinction.
The colors and clarity of gorgeous animals and imagery of Mother Nature paired with top recording artist Sia’s new song “Candle” came together in perfect harmony on the building which Louie says was chosen especially because the top resembles a candle being lit and because of the changes they have made in recent years to become most sustainable and green.

While congratulating Louie on the success of the event and his new documentary Racing
Extinction, he was informed of the impact the show was having on everyone on the streets standing and starting up in amazement watching the show he had worked so hard to put together, thrilled to hear about the reactions that he immediately had to excuse himself to see if for himself.
If you would like to see award winning documentary that started it all, check out The Cove and wait patiently with us for his next documentary Racing Extinction to be released in coming months.
