Today we have the honor and privilege of announcing our newest contributor to the blog, celebrity interior designer and architect Lori Dennis. Based in LA, Lori has been headlining the green design movement longer than it’s been a trend. She is known for taking the old and the ordinary and turning into the renewed and revolutionary. Her breathtaking work – both inside and outside homes and commercial buildings – has the look of luxury but with a price tag everyone can budget, not just the elite. Most importantly Lori is dedicated to keeping her construction and decoration eco-friendly and up to the highest green standards. While her philosophies are simple – using what you have and updating rather than wasting; maximizing natural light and space – the results of Lori’s work are proof that the intricacy of her eco-conscious mind is unattainable by any other in the field.
As validity to her success, Lori is the star of HGTV’s “Real Designing Women”, has appeared on LXTV’s “Open House LA” for the work she did on her own home and several others in the area, exhibited how anyone can achieve “high style” in their kitchens on The Food Network, was the designer behind the “facelift” that Dr. Lee’s office received on Oxygen’s “Addicted to Beauty”, and even showed the nation how to achieve simple elegance with their party table settings in an interview with NBC. She has been featured in LA Design, Angeleno, Elle Décor and Luxe a number of times as well as House Beautiful, Home, and the NY and LA Times. And like a true social entrepreneur, Lori’s renowned book Green Interior Design offers unheard of advice and ideas that she wishes to SHARE with the public, not privatize for profit and competition.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICZ47DukKk0&w=560&h=315]
