Water Is Life.

Have a rough day?

As you sit down and unwind from the day take a minute to reflect. What went wrong? Did they run out of skim milk at the cafe? Did your music cut out on the subway when you went underground? No free samples at the Jacques Torres across from your office today? This is what we – the First World – complain about. Are we serious when making these comments? Not always. Or rather, we truly did get annoyed with them, let them get under our skin, but maybe didn’t consider them to be major upsets.

This trend refers to the annoying glitches we encounter on a day to day basis. It’s become the grounds for memes, Twitter accounts, online quizzes; it’s comical. We know these “problems” are absurd, yet we still notice them, if even just for a minute. Now I know that in the scheme of things we didn’t ask for this life. But neither did the ones at the butt of the joke: the Third World. I’m not asking you to take back your rants or even apologize. What I am asking is that you watch this video made by WATERisLIFE – 1 minute of your life – and let it be part of your end-of-the-day reflection.

Please, leave your thoughts and comments below – I hope this clip inspires you to do something thoughtful, and to also be more thoughtful when something goes “wrong.”
